The underpinning inquiry pedagogy across the school is Learn, Create, Share. The design of the learning spaces accommodates the flexibility that the school pedagogy is based on. The internal configuration of the spaces accommodates approximately 80 -100 students per floor.

The overall design of this project references local pacific and maori architecture, but also has European influence. The underlying principals are driven from the local culture that is imbedded within the school. The strong community focus is important, the cultures of the families / whānau are represented in the planning and design of this project. The built project significantly encourages and enhances the local community for learning.
